When most people think of comics, they think of superheroes. It’s not surprising, considering the current obsession with on-screen comic book adaptations. From the multi-series DC universe on the CW to the sprawling cinematic universes of Marvel, DC, and Fox’s X-Men, comic books are big business – and there are a ton of superheroes.

Time Machines, Ranked By Accuracy

1. Delorian (Back To The Future)

Look at this beautiful piece of physics-defying machinery. Gull-wing doors, lush leather seats, not one but two cup holders, and, most importantly, a digital display that clocks your destination time down to the second. Sure, you need an absolutely ridiculous amount of energy in order to get it running, but can we honestly say that 1.21 gigawatts is too much of a price to pay for getting to where you’re going at the exact moment you want to be there? Granted, all that exposed wiring means this machine has a weakness to being struck by lightning, but don’t we all?

The ugly Christmas sweater. Once the bane of any child’s existence, it has now become a chic throwback. Perhaps it can be traced to Leslie Hall’s epic “Gem Sweater.” Or perhaps it was inspired by simple irony – everything can be connected to irony. But not for us. We’ve always been fans of the bizarre garment.

In any case, what are rebellious geeks to do when everyone else has co-opted their look? Why, look even geekier! We are here to help, with our top 10 geeky ugly Christmas sweaters.
