So, You’re Inhuman Now

Posted by Jadzia Axelrod

It’s hard to be teen on Attilan. Living on a city on the moon means that cell reception is poor, there’s no good pizza delivery, and required exposure to the Terrigen Mist means that your body could instantly transform into a hideous monstrosity! Fortunately, this pamphlet, excerpted below, can help a transformed Inhuman get in touch with their inhumanity.

Congratulations! You’ve been through the Terrigen Mists and it has not killed you outright! This may be a strange time for you, as your body is changing in ways you never expected. But don’t worry! This is all part of you growing into a powerful, productive member of society, a god among mortals…or a hideously deformed genetic dead-end that no one wants to look at. There’s no way to tell until it happens!

Wow! That’s a a lot of changes! No wonder you’re feeling a little uncertain of who you are now. Fortunately, the strictly-applied and harshly separated society on striated Attilan will take care of that for you!

Caste Party

As you know, Inhuman society is a genocracy, where we are ruled by the genetically fittest! Its possible that your mutation through the Terrigen Mists has given in you amazing abilities that will elevate you to the level of the Royal Family, with Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Crystal and the rest. Yours will be a life of power and privilege, and all will look upon your beauty and ability with awe.

It is also possible that you ended up with a useless mutation, like eye stalks or your feet are now on backwards. That will put you in the lowest caste, where you really shouldn’t interact with anyone. Your existence is an embarrassment enough! Try to find some rags and cover your shame!

You may find that your friends and even your own family are no longer in the same caste as you. It’s important that you not let that bother you. Think of your caste as your new family, and imagine all the new friends you’re going to make!

Claim Your Inhumanity

Whether you turned into a muscular ideal of everything our society hopes for, or a shriveled monstrosity that should lurk in the shadows if it knows what’s good for it, you are important to Inhuman society. We can’t have a city on the moon without everyone doing their part, can we?

So whether you can fly between dimensions or taste with your feet, you have a place in Attilan, where we all have a shared inhumanity!
