How did NaNoWriMo go, y’all? Did you hit that 1,667 words per day, or did you feel dread at the thought of even opening your novel's document?
Yeah, us too.
BUT...don’t fret! There are plenty of ways to “procrastinate” NaNoWriMo that you don’t have to feel bad about! Doing all of the below is just as important as writing the book...right? And you can keep working on your book, even if December is right around the corner.
NaNoWriMo is such a wonderful and terrible time. It’s wonderful because there is an entire community of writers working toward a similar goal. We’re all in this together, and there’s something really beautiful in that.
It’s terrible because, well, let us count the ways…

We all know that practicing self-care is important, but knowing when we need that self-care is a whole other story. Everyone needs a break from time to time. Here are a few characters that we think could really have used some self-care in their stories.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. We’ve heard this all our lives, and the saying is true. However, there are some gorgeous covers out there — and some of them can even double as decor.

Many of our favourite authors are women, and there’s a very good reason for that. Women have written some of the greatest stories of all time. Jane Austen, Maya Angelou, J.K. Rowling. Here are some female authors who should definitely be on your TBR lists. (But please don’t stop here. There are so many amazing female writers.)
On this, the day of love, it’s important to remember that this day doesn’t just have to be about love that’s shared in a romantic relationship. Arguably, self-love is the most important kind of love.
Without further ado, here are some beautiful, strong women who decided they were better off alone than with their significant other.
