Have you seen the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

No film adaptation would be complete without an epic playlist. So get ready to see your classic characters paired with music to fit their new zombie tastes. Scroll to the bottom for the full playlist.

Elizabeth Bennett

A Regency-era Buffy in love with one of history’s greatest book boyfriends. We’re certain that if Elizabeth were around to fill an iTunes library in between zombie battles, these songs would be on her playlist.

Dear Future Husband” by Meghan Trainor

“Dear future husband,
Here's a few things
You'll need to know if you wanna be
My one and only all my life…."

“Killing in the Name” by Rage Against the Machine

“And now you do what they told ya
But now you do what they told ya
Well now you do what they told ya
Those who died are justified…”

“Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails

“What have I become,
My sweetest friend?
Everyone I know,
Goes away in the end.
You could have it all,
My empire of dirt.
I will let you down.
I will make you hurt…”

Mr. Darcy

He’s the love interest that sparked modern chick lit, just ask Bridget Jones. Now he’s handsome, rich, snobbish, and holding his own against a legion of the undead. He’ll certainly have these songs on repeat:

“Elizabeth” by Frank Sinatra

“Love was very new, make believe was coming true
Elizabeth, Elizabeth
You were all much too much, out of reach and out of touch…”

“You’re so Vain” by Carly Simon

“You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and…
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you…”

Mr. Bingley

He hosts the ball that starts it all. The Bennett sisters, particularly Jane, are vying for Bingley’s hand and fortune, and instead of fighting zombies with the ladies, he runs off with other “beautiful people” to hide in London. This is obviously his theme song:

“The Beautiful People” by Marilyn Manson

“It's not your fault that you're always wrong
The weak ones are there to justify the strong
The beautiful people, the beautiful people
It's all relative to the size of your steeple…”

Charlotte Lucas

Elizabeth’s BFF to the end, literally. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say “the plague” affecting the English countryside takes a few casualties.

Zombie” by The Cranberries

“But you see it's not me
It's not my family
In your head in your head
They are fighting…

In your head in your head they are crying
In your head
In your head
Zombie zombie zombie…”

Lady Catherine

If you thought Lady Catherine was determined to keep her nephew, Mr. Darcy’s, fortune out of the hands of the Bennett sisters in the original novel, you should see her once she’s armed with a band of ninjas. Don’t count this old lady out, because she’s definitely a classic rock fan.

“Don’t Fear the Reaper” by Blue Oyster Cult

“Come on baby
(Don't fear the reaper)
Baby take my hand
(Don't fear the reaper)
We'll be able to fly
(Don't fear the reaper)
Baby I'm your man…”

Full Cast

If there’s one song that not only sums up the zombie apocalypse in this Jane Austen reboot, but its tongue-in-cheek humor as well, it would be this little acoustic ditty. Be sure to listen to it on your way to the movie theater:

“Your Brains” by Jonathan Coulton

“All we want to do is eat your brains
We're not unreasonable, I mean, no one's gonna eat your eyes
All we want to do is eat your brains
We're at an impasse here, maybe we should compromise:
If you open up the doors
We'll all come inside and eat your brains…”
