What do you get when you cross magic, teenagers, and comics? The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Netflix’s ode to Archie comics' favorite witch. Now that we’ve seen the first season, we can’t help but conjure a list of books for the bewitching characters of Greendale.

Hilda Spellman: Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel

Sweet and lovable Hilda Spellman is everyone’s favorite aunt. When she isn’t baking or cheering up her niece Sabrina, Hilda even finds time to work in a bookstore! Hence, why we love her. So, for this book lover and romantic, we suggest reading Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel. A book about magic, dessert, and breaking family tradition seems the perfect treat for Aunt Hildy.

Ambrose Spellman: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Move over witches, there’s a warlock on the loose! Ambrose Spellman is a necromancer, Sabrina’s cousin, and in our honest opinion, fashion slayer. When he isn’t astral projecting all over town, Ambrose likes to chill at home with a good book. The obvious novel of choice would be The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It’s about an ambitious young wizard whose quest for greatness puts many in grave peril. Sound like anyone we know?

Madam Satan: The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike

Next on our list is the Queen of Chaos herself, Madam Satan. Yes, even baddies need book recommendations. But what book would a soulless demon want to read? Why, The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike off course! It’s a sultry tale about three powerful witches ruining peoples lives in a small seacoast town. We have a feeling Madam Satan will enjoy this read, she might even take notes!

Prudence Night: Macbeth by William Shakespeare

Last but not least on our list is Prudence Night, leader of the Weird Sisters. When she isn’t causing mischief for Sabrina, Prudence is hard at work practicing her magical abilities. That’s we think she might enjoy reading Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Prudence might learn a lesson or two from this classic tale of revenge and witchcraft. We hope nothing wicked this was comes to dear Prudence in the next season.
