It’s that time of year when the weather begins to nip, when you eagerly open your closet full of winter clothes and lose yourself to boots and jaunty hats. And, of course, scarves! In celebration of scarf weather, we’ve rounded up some well-known scarves that have graced the necklines of favorite fictional characters.

The Harry Potter gang (Harry Potter)

C’mon, you know you want one of these scarves to fly your Hogwarts House colors. Not to mention that they look bloody comfortable.

Pippin Took (The Lord of the Rings)

For a more rustic look, you can knit yourself a replica of Pippin’s scarf. Simple yet charming!

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)

Want to try an infinity scarf instead? Channel Katniss and her swanky gray infinity scarf. I bet you’ll make a stir in the Capitol.

The Fourth Doctor (Doctor Who)

Look at this thing. It wouldn’t only keep your neck warm, it would keep your entire body warm, not to mention that of your companion’s.

Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel)

Part of Ms. Marvel’s outfit is a dramatic red scarf. Who wouldn’t want a scarf that waves heroically in the breeze behind them?

Mat Cauthon (The Wheel of Time)

After Mat *coughs over spoilers*, he wears a black silk scarf (not pictured) to hide some nasty scars on his neck. Add a green coat and one of those jaunty hats and you’re good to go!

Let us know what are some of your favorite scarves from literature at @QuirkBooks!
