Fictional Airbnb’s for the Perfect Vacation

Posted by Sandra Woolf

We all need to get away sometimes. Pack an overnight bag and leave town for little R&R. But what if you could book a vacation at your dream Airbnb, real or fictional? We made a few literary listings we’d love to see available.

Movie still from Howl's Moving Castle, Studio Ghibli

Howl's Moving Castle

Available: Clean and cozy home of one charming wizard and his talking fire demon. Location varies since the Castle roams the countryside, but the door is a magical portal that can take you anywhere! Perfect place for any witch or wizard to relax…except for the occasional wayward curse. Pets are welcome!

The City Palace of Sky – The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

Come stay in the lovely floating city of Sky. Reserved only for the noblest or richest of patrons. Amenities include magnificent feasts, hot tub sized baths, and four immortal Gods at your beck and call. A note of warning to unwary travelers, the night can be cold in Sky and treacherous for those on the political side. Rated five stars on Trip Lit Advisor.

The Wayfarer – The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet

Available: Love the cold, dark, vastness of space? Join the diverse and lively crew of the Wayfarer as we travel the solar system. Our chef is also our doctor, so don’t worry about any accidents that are highly possible to occur. Grab a cup of tea and listen to our thrilling adventures. All while you stay aboard the Wayfarer and see the stars!

Redwall Abbey

Available: Need a family friendly vacation getaway? Come stay in a peaceful abbey tucked away in Mossflower Woods. The mice and other creatures that live in the abbey love to work together to provide a meditative place of rest. If any threat would occur, have no fear, for a mighty warrior resides in Redwall to protect you. Dogs are welcome. No cats please.
