The Luck of the Quirkish: Good Luck Charms From Around the Quirk Office

Like every good office, the Quirk Books HQ is full of random kitsch. Weird stuffed animals, plastic figurines, and plenty of odd things that make no sense to anyone else but us. And with St. Patrick's Day approaching, I thought it would be fun to run around the office, and get Quirk staff on camera, talking about their lucky charms.

Enjoy! And if you've got a fun lucky charm at your office, tell us about it in the replies!

Celebrating Five Years of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies

This month, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies turns five. A landmark book for Quirk, it was an enormous bestseller that took the literary world by storm and invented a new genre. The mashup!

To celebrate, we had Thom Dunn, a frequent Quirk contributor and blogger for places like Tor.com, write up a three part editorial about the history of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. In his piece, he talks about the origins of the book, Quirk's venture into the mashup genre, and our jump into fiction.

You can check out all three parts below.

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: Part 1 of 3

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: Part 2 of 3

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: Part 3 of 3

We're planning a lot more content over the course of the month, from guest blog posts to epic giveaways, so stay tuned! And speaking of those giveaways… we've got one right here! You can enter to win a copy of the Deluxe Heirloom Edition of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies

World Book Night Giveaway: Win Photos from Ransom Riggs’ Vintage Photography Collection

Today, World Book Night is highlighting Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs over on their Twitter and Facebook. It was a real honor to see Miss Peregrine selected for this awesome program, and I figured we'd run a fun giveaway to celebrate today's social media spotlight.

Back in 2012, Ransom sent me a small box full of strange black and white photos from his personal vintage photography collection. I've used them now and again for promotions, and now, dear World Book Night people, we're offering a few up to you.

Enter our little Rafflecopter below for a chance to win a hardcover copy of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and one of three photos from Ransom's personal collection. We've also dug deep into the Quirk archives and wrangled up a bunch of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children posters, which we'll also giveaway to random entries after the first three winners are picked. How's… 20 of those posters sound? Good? Good.

You can enter by following Quirk, Ransom, World Book Night, etc. on Twitter and Facebook. Good luck, and thanks again, World Book Night!
