Neil Gaiman's hair is almost as magical as his writing. That's why we here at Quirk (who are BIG fans of Gaiman and his whimsical locks) have dedicated this blog post to Gaiman's hair. But wait! We've taken it one step further by pairing the many moods of Neil Gaiman's hair with a book.

Long and Luxurious Hair + Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

Let's start with an easy pairing, shall we? This hair goes hand in hand with a classic gothic book. We recommend reading by candlelight to get a more romantic experience. You could also listen to some heavy metal music as you read, since this hair is so very 90s rock glam.

Nonconformist Hair + The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This short but disheveled hair and leather jacket makes it very clear what book to read with this style. Reading about a main character named Ponyboy seems all too fitting. Sit back with a soda pop and enjoy this banned book.

Mountaineer Hair + Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

If Nick Offerman and Gandalf had a love child, they would have this hair—and read this book. What's especially great is that you can be one with nature in the comfort of your home! Or maybe it compels you to go for a hike. Just be careful what you eat...

Somber Hair + We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson

This hair is so dark and broody that it sucked all the color from the photo. Doesn’t it just make you want to grab something broody to read? Something like We Have Always Lived in the Castle is just the ticket. Jackson was the queen of modern gothic horror, so strap in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Pinnacle Gaiman Hair paired with American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Yes, we believe that Gaiman's hair would read/recommend his own book. How very meta. Since American Gods is considered by many to be the pinnacle book in Gaiman's repertoire, it seemed appropriate to make this the final book on the list. Also the TV adaption is coming out soon, and we are so stoked!

Long live Gaiman and his magnificent hair.
