  • “Wait... Supernatural. That show's still on?”

Boy howdy, is it ever! After 11 seasons and on the eve of its 12th, hit CW television program Supernatural is definitely still on. There are probably a lot of reasons for its endurance as one of the greatest shows of all time (I'm not biased), all of which I'm sure could be addressed in an intelligent and thoughtful way, but for instead you're stuck with me! So let's dissect the reasons why Supernatural is still one of the best shows on TV, and why season 12 is gonna be the best season of all (after season 5. And arguably seasons 3 and 9. Also maybe 10, if you're into demon Dean).

  • Legends of Tomorrow enters its second season this month, and promises a sophomore outing bursting with time-travelling adventures. Most of the original team is returning, along with a whole new gang of characters from the Justice Society of America, including Hourman, Stargirl, Citizen Steel, and an all-new Vixen. They’ll be back on the Waverider, attempting to save the timeline again (and undoubtedly going up against a brand-new villain, too). It’s action-packed comic-book sci-fi and we absolutely love it!

  • Okay, we admit it. No marriage is perfect. But we have a fantastic book (out today!) that is sure to make any marriage more fun – guaranteed! Our Perfect Marriage by Alan and Claire Linic tackles everything from contracts about alone time to word games about your first married fight to a section to document your first haircut as spouses – yeah, you read that right. So before you buy this book for every married couple you know, check out how some of our favorite literary couples filled out their own copies.

  • In all honesty, the best part about ordering Chinese food is getting the fortune cookies. When dinner is over, you're sad for that one split second before you realize what's lingering in the bottom of your takeout bag. Bonus food! Delicious little morsels with a hidden message inside! We all know that moment when we read one and it perfectly fits our lives (which usually results in pinning the fortune to the refrigerator). In the interest of generosity, we thought we would write fortunes for our favorite fictional characters.

  • The annual celebration of the freedom to read is upon us again and we’re ready for Banned Books Week. We believe families and individuals have the right to decide for themselves what to read and what to skip, but should not decide for others by having books removed or banned. Since the first Banned Books Week in 1982, the American Library Association has recorded that more than 11,000 books have been challenged. So to celebrate Banned Books Week, we've come up with some reimagined book titles for you, inspired by the reasons they were challenged. Enjoy!

  • It's that time of year again, when the air is thick with the smell of pumpkin spice, each step on the sidewalk is punctuated by the crunch of dry leaves underfoot, and DVRs are getting cleaned off and reprogrammed to make room for all the new and returning fall shows. Whether you happen to be a TV fanatic, a more casual viewer, or a protagonist in a classic work of literature, there's something for everyone this upcoming TV season.
