  • This weekend, The Walking Dead returns after an agonizingly (thanks to the season 6 finale's doozy of a cliffhanger) long hiatus, and we already know that, as always, Rick and his ragtag gang of survivors have managed to get themselves into quite a pickle. Not all of our favorites made it out of season 6 in one piece, and for those who are left, things are looking (again, as always) rather grim.

  • October has two amazing days: e.e. cummings’ birthday and National Caps Lock Day. In honor of both days, we imagined a debate between e.e. cummings and the caps lock key.

  • On October 19, people will be evaluating their lives for Evaluate Your Life Day. People will break up with unhealthy partners, take up new exercise routines, and go back to school to pursue their dream jobs. We have compiled a list of some characters who should evaluate their lives, and we have provided a few suggestions to help them get back on track.

  • It's that time of year again—the time to watch Interview with the Vampire. It makes us wonder what would happen if vampires were interviewed by journalists for teen magazines. We created our own interviews with our favorite vampires. Just be sure to read them in the sunlight.

  • Dictionary Day, October 16, is a day to celebrate Noah Webster's birthday—the Father of the American Dictionary. It's a day to learn a new word and increase your vocabulary, a day to say your favorite silly word aloud as many times as you want, and a day to see which words fictional characters probably love saying aloud.

  • “Wait... Supernatural. That show's still on?”

Boy howdy, is it ever! After 11 seasons and on the eve of its 12th, hit CW television program Supernatural is definitely still on. There are probably a lot of reasons for its endurance as one of the greatest shows of all time (I'm not biased), all of which I'm sure could be addressed in an intelligent and thoughtful way, but for instead you're stuck with me! So let's dissect the reasons why Supernatural is still one of the best shows on TV, and why season 12 is gonna be the best season of all (after season 5. And arguably seasons 3 and 9. Also maybe 10, if you're into demon Dean).
