Quirk Books – Summer 2024 Marketing and Publicity Intern


 

Summary: Are you a reader looking to begin a publishing career? Are you interested in learning more about the marketing and publicity side of publishing by assisting with creative and impactful campaigns?

If so, Quirk Books is seeking an organized and creative Marketing and Publicity Intern. Reporting to the Publicity and Marketing Manager, this position will assist our Sales, Marketing, and Publicity team by performing general administrative support, conducting research, and assisting in the creation of social media assets.

This is a fully remote position that requires a commitment of 16 hours per week from May through August 2024.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, such as mailings and data entry.
  • Research new media, podcast, Substack, and influencer trends and contacts.
  • Update and maintain Quirk’s media, podcast, and influencer lists.
  • Create TikTok content for Quirk’s account and assist in social media brainstorming.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed.

  • Interest in and familiarity with #BookTok and Bookstagram.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Asana is a plus.

 

Other requirements:

  • Must be ready to work 16 hours a week beginning the week of May 27, 2024, through the week of August 19, 2024. You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply.
  • Must be available between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EDT during work days.
  • Must have a reliable computer and internet access.
  • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be age 18 or older.

 

Compensation:  $15.00/hour
