The wait is finally over! The fourth season of The Crown is finally on Netflix. And while we fully expect to binge the season before the weekend is over, that won’t stop us from daydreaming about what seasons 5 and 6 will have in store. In the meantime, here are some of our favorite books about royalty.

It’s national Forget-Me-Not Day and, naturally, we’re thinking about all of our favorite books that play with the theme of memory. We love a plot that hinges on memory, whether the protagonist is rediscovering key memories, remembering their life through an obscured lens, or just plain forgetful. So read on! But remember: things aren’t always what they seem.

We would normally spend Go to An Art Museum Day celebrating our favorite museums across the country and around the world. And while there’s nothing normal about this year, one thing remains: our love of art. It may not be safe enough to spend the day museum hopping, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring the museum to you! To celebrate this delightful holiday, we’ve gathered our favorite books that feel like museum exhibits – and for once you can touch the art!
This month, we’re celebrating a true powerhouse in contemporary film: Jon Favreau. His birthday is in October, and we’re over here celebrating, wishing him many more as we eagerly await the second season of The Mandalorian. Looking back at his catalogue of producing and directing credits, we have a lot to be thankful for – Buddy the Elf and Baby Yoda? It’s too much. This year, we’re offering up a gift of our own: a book recommendation for every one of our favorite films.

Halloween is going to look a little (um, okay, a lot) different this year. But there’s one tradition that still social distancing friendly, and looks great in a mask: reading scary novels during the entire month of October. Over the years, horror has become somewhat of a Quirk Books specialty. And we’re thrilled to fill your calendar with fright after delicious fright from now until Halloween!
Yesterday was National Noodle Day and we’re planning to noodle around over here all week long at Quirk Books HQ. In fact, that we had a hard time choosing just one of our noodle-friendly books to feature for this delightfully ridiculous – and incredibly delicious – holiday. So, without further ado, our all-time favorite noodle-y book recommendations – paired with our all-time favorite noodles.
