It has truly been a super(natural) summer thanks, in large part, to My Best Friend’s Exorcism and Stranger Things. These two pop culture sweethearts are truly a match made in hell. They have given us an eerily similar glimpse at the world of demons and aliens with an ace 80’s twist. They both are heartwarming stories about friendship that scared the living daylights out of us. Maybe most importantly though - they both would have killer soundtracks.  Thankfully, the folks over at Stranger Things have promised us a soundtrack is lurking right beyond the next corner, but what we MBFE + ST geeks are really waiting for is the perfect 80’s mixtape that combines both.

Wait no more.

Tons of Spoilers Ahead.

OK. This doesn’t exist yet, but if The Secret is real it should be here any minute.

Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

Let’s dive right in, baby. What better way to let everyone know some weird ish is about to go down?

Go-Go’s - We Got The Beat

Did someone say skate party? No? Doesn’t matter -- that’s what I heard! #horsesarestupid

David Bowie - We Could be Heroes

Between the quarry scene and David Bowie’s death I’m super not ready to talk about this. Call me later. Bye.

USA for AFRICA - We Are The World

Greatest 80’s anthem or world’s best 80’s anthem? Either way it’s the perfect song to sing along with your BFF in case of an emergency exorcism, or an emergency Eggo run.
