Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children: The Book Trailer!

We're all really excited about the release of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Ransom Riggs' YA debut. The book isn't even out yet, and the film rights have already been sold to 20th Century Fox with Peter Chernin attached to produce.

To help promote the title, we've got an awesome book trailer that Ransom himself helped put together. He flew out to Belgium to shoot in several creepy old houses, bringing back some really fantastic footage. Our friends (and his), Dirty Robber, shot the scenes with Jacob and his grandfather in Los Angeles.

Enjoy!

PS: Want to get into the book a little early? Ransom has been leaking chapters on Mental Floss these past few weeks. Right now you can read up to Chapter 3, free, right here on Quirkbooks.com

It is not easy to describe this book. The story, the characters, and the uniqueness of the photos to tell the story is wonderful. It has that magical quality that appeals to readers, both teen and adult (I'm in my 30s). You find yourself quickly drawn into a strange world ripe for exploring. I highly recommend for ages 12+

I loved it. I hope there's a sequel in the works. http://wp.me/p1CKWU-9z

I could not put this book down. I read it in 1 day and read it for the second time in about 3 days. This story was beautiful. I hope a movie does get made and another book aswell.

it is so freaky how all those children were so peculiar. It is a cool mysterious cool book

It had me hooked by chapter II.

I loved the book but the ending left me wanting more! I hope to read a sequel soon. If a move is made I would definitely go and see it!

I bought the Kindle version to read to my class, aged 11 years, of reluctant, non and ESL readers to encourage their interest in reading. They are mesmerized by the story. One of their first comments after listening to and viewing the first photos was that it would make a great movie! Great minds think alike! I have to edit out the swearing (shit and piss) because it is a Catholic school so I hope the film will be G or PG. The Kindle makes it easy to view the photos and enlarge bits like how the levitating girl is floating off the ground. I have created a whole unit of literacy work around this book and wonder if anyone else would be interested in it.

Is there a sequel for this book? I really love it, the story is quite original not like the usual vampires or werewolves or the common ones. I really hope that there's a sequel following this book! <3
